What is flat floor cabover?

A flat floor cabover refers to a type of commercial truck that has a flat floor space above the engine compartment. It is also known as a flat roof cabover or a COE (cab over engine) truck. This design allows for a larger cargo space or living quarters since the driver and passenger seat sit over the engine compartment instead of in front of it like a conventional truck layout.

Flat floor cabovers are commonly used for delivery trucks, box trucks, and RVs. The flat floor design provides more headroom and easier maneuverability in urban settings. However, the engine compartment can create more noise and heat in the cabin compared to a conventional design. The maintenance and repair of the engine can also be more challenging due to its location.

Flat floor cabovers have been popular in Europe and Asia for many years and are becoming more common in North America as manufacturers develop newer, more efficient designs.
